I read an article this morning that deeply disturbs me. To summarize, in a bid to save failing newspapers, who’ve seen a substantial drop in revenue over recent years, the AP is going to work to lower to cost of newspapers and begin prosecuting bloggers and others who link to articles written by AP members without sharing their own ad revenue or obtaining explicit permission. I won’t go into why I think this is completely stupid and the OPPOSITE of what they should be doing, because I’ve done it below.
